Creative arts can reach through your eating disorder insulation and give you a chance to breathe and get a glimpse of new ways of being in the world. Inspiration is closer than you might think. A component of eating disorders is isolation and withdrawal.
If you live in the Los Angeles area, keep this list of wonderful ways to step out of your uncomfortable comfort zone. Give yourself an opportunity to laugh, sing, dance, be inspired and mingle with the people in your community. Even if you don't have a full conversation with someone, you will still need to communicate somewhat to negotiate your presence at the event.
You just might find some heart and soul inspiration that gives you a new point of view and raises your spirits far more than your eating disorder ever could.
