Healing Wisdom for Binge Eating and Restricting Recovery
"Without memory there is no healing. Without forgiveness there is no future"
Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

Your Binge Eating and Restricting Healing Journey Guidelines

Binge eating and restricting food signal, and hopefully invite the individual who suffers the cause of her anxiety and compulsive eating behavior. If this is you and you accept the invitation to increase your awareness of yourself and your inner world you are about to start your healing journey.

The guidelines are in Tutu's quote. I add that the missing sentence in the middle covers the journey.  It's the second act of a three act play where challenges are faced.  Here what is  denied is exposed., This is where your courage and determination bring you to your genuine truth.  You increase your ability to trust and love.

Binge eating and food restrictions shows you that more healing work is needed..

Challenge:

Bear emotions that come up when eating disorder behaviors are limited.

Denial Exposed:

Stay with those feelings and not running to eating disorder behaviors eventually will awaken or loosen secrets you've kept well hidden or didn't even know you had.

Courage:

Move through you day meeting ordinary tasks while feeling your emotional challenge and knowing what you had previously denied.

In time you discover the truth of you is finer than you thought and that with your new sense of yourself you can trust trustworthy people and love.

End Goal

With this strength and healing comes your natural power and gratitude that allows you to forgive and be free.
Then you no longer need to binge eat or restrict. You can bear your feelings. You can retain your mind. You can cope with the struggles of life. And you are free and able to create, to love, to live a satisfying life..
